Charges of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography Dropped
Seth P. Chazin just obtained a major victory for a client who was threatened by the FBI and the US Attorney's Office of the Northern District of California with possible charges of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography, 18 U.S.C. Section 2252 (a) (2) and 18 U.S.C. Section 2252 (a) (4). Fortunately, the Feds declined to prosecute him.
This was an especially important accomplishment for the client as he is the owner of a very a successful corporation with a high profile in the community. The key to this victory was taking an affirmative approach to the case in negotiating with the US attorney's office and directing my client to engage in treatment and obtain letters of reference on his behalf.
