Thanks to aggressive negotiations, our client (from an immigrant family and first in his family to go to college) in Hercules was only charged with a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code Section 484 - (Petty Theft) after embezzling items that could have brought a felony charge.  Further negotiations with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office led to a disposition of an informal diversion, which the client completed and which resulted in all charges being dismissed.
