Costa County Client Charged for Driving Under the Influence

In Contra Costa County, client in Albany was charged with a violation of Vehicle Code Section 23152 (a) and (b) – (Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Having a 0.08% or Higher Blood Alcohol) along with a violation of Health and Safety Code Section 11350 – (Possessing a Controlled Substance).  Despite our client having a prior charge for a drug case in another county, after aggressive negotiations with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office, the District Attorney's office dismissed the drug charge and client was sentenced to a simple 1st Offense DUI.
